An archetypal country inn from the outside, this 17th-century farmhouse is sited opposite the 13th century parish church which has a history dating back to Norman times. Following refurbishment in 2009, the interior is contemporary with a main bar and an extensive dining area. A more traditional public bar is separate and is popular with locals. Four handpumps serve Liberation ales plus one from Butcombe and another Liberation Seasonal Ale when available. Reasonably priced good food is available daily from an extensive menu. The inn has a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere with seating outside front and rear for when the sun shines. A reasonable walk from the north coast.

May 2022 report says that there are now only three handpumps.
